Marjorie L. Slankard, M.D., is a Clinical Professor of Medicine at Columbia University and an Associate Attending Physician and Director of the Allergy Clinic at Columbia-New York Presbyterian Medical Center. She practices Allergy at ColumbiaDoctors Midtown. In addition, she is the Subspecialty Director of Allergy and Immunology at Valley Hospital in Ridgewood, New Jersey.
Dr. Slankard completed her residency in Internal Medicine at the New York Hospital-Weill Cornell Medical College in New York City and did a fellowship in Immunology (working in the lab of Dr. Henry Kunkel) at The Rockefeller University (in NYC). She continued her clinical and research training as a fellow at the Department of Medicine, Division of Allergy and Immunology at Cornell University Medical College and in the Department of Neoplastic Diseases at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine.
Dr. Slankard is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Allergy and Immunology. She is the recipient of numerous awards and honors and has been listed in New York Magazine’s “The Best Doctors in New York” for 15 years in a row.
Dr. Slankard is a past President of the New York Allergy and Asthma Society and Fellow of the both the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology and the American College of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology.
